 A HID Conversion Kit (also known as a XENON HID CONVERSION KIT) is designed to convert conventional Halogen Headlights to the newer gas-filled HID (High Intensity Discharge) Xenon headlights. The HID bulbs are operated by independent HID Ballast units, also known as Blasters. The HID Ballasts draw a current either from the battery or the original headlight Wiring Loom and then regulates the electricity through the HID (High Intensity Discharge) Bulbs.
A HID Conversion Kit for cars will come with two ballast units, 2 HID Xenon Bulbs and all the wiring necessary for universal fitment, however, the bulbs will be made to match the specific sizes of normal Halogen Bulbs, such as: H1, H3, H4, H7, H9 and H11 etc.. so when considering to purchase a kit you must make sure you purchase the correct kit by confirming the bulb sizes with your original Halogen headlight bulbs.
