  • Hello, I have a 2007 mazda 2 semi auto. Current presenting with intermittent gear issue. The red round sprocket light comes on every now and then and if in motion, it will not change gear and if parked, engine will not start because the neutral light will not come on the dash. If left for a while, it will reset itself and it will go again. Please advice on what help you can offer and price guide.

    • Hi Sam

      Thanks for the enquiry,

We have purpose-built testing rigs that allow us to connect the Mazda 2 TCM and the clutch + gear actuators directly to our systems and isolate them during testing procedures. We run a series of tests include an in-car simulator which allows us to see the unit operate in real time as though it was still connected to the vehicle. We can also load test and temperature test units rigorously and extend test procedures where necessary to find the more awkward intermittent faults.

Once the unit has been confirmed faulty we will (with your authorisation) proceed to remanufacture the unit. During this process we will rectify the faults found and where possible we will always look to uprate common known weak points to strengthen the unit.

I will send across an email now with full information and pricing.

      Kind Regards
