Ford Mondeo Electronic Turbo Actuator Problems
The Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCi between 2001 – 2007 is fitted with an electronic turbo actuator to control the flow and output of the turbocharger. It is accurately controlled by the Engine ECU and can be tuned to increase the performance and economy of the vehicle. The electric turbo actuator is a very common failing part and can be an expensive repair when it fails as the dealer will be quoting to replace the complete turbocharger.

Most common symptoms when the Ford Mondeo electronic turbo actuator fails is the glow plug light will start flashing and the engine will go into “Limp Mode” to restrict the performance – a safety feature installed in the ECU to avoid any further damage.
