Toyota Corolla Verso T180 2.0 & 2.2 D-4D DPF Removal Problem Solved!!

DPF Removal on Toyota Corolla VersoThe Toyota T180, both 2.0 & 2.2 D4D engine cars after 2006 come with the optional Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) fitted. Very much like the Mazda range, the data structure in the ECU map is highly encrypted and until now there has been no company willing to or even able to offer a DPF removal service for this vehicle. Toyota DPF Problems are all too common and until now, no one knew of a company with a sure solution.

For the last 2-3 years we’ve regrettably been having to tell customers that there was at the time no option for them to remove the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) from their vehicles. This left customers with no choice but to purchase brand new parts from the main dealer or copy parts, which we don’t encourage due to the nature of the manufactured part.

We’re proud to announce that yet again, we are the first specialist company in the whole of Europe offering a complete DPF Removal service on a vehicle that up till now, no other company has been able to work with. The Mazda group DPF vehicles were the same, no body in the country could do them or in fact in the whole of Europe and we were, the very first specialist company to provide a complete DPF Removal service on such vehicles and still, to this day no other company CAN remove the DPF from Mazda vehicles.

When the DPF gets blocked on the Toyota T180 (both 2.0litre and 2.2litre D-4D engines), it will in most cases bring up the DPF warning light & engine management light. The vehicle may also fall into LIMP MODE which is also known as LIMP HOME MODE. Limp mode is not an error, but in fact a special function within the Engine Control Unit (ECU) which restricts the speed / revs of the engine to reduce risk of further damage by a failing component. Commonly, the engine will be restricted to 2500-3000rpm maximum or equivalent to 70-80mph. In Limp mode the turbo will not come on boost in most vehicles and you will experience a major loss in power.

The reason the DPF’s get blocked up vary, but commonly it’s due to the way the vehicles are driven. It’s not the drivers fault, but they are simply not designed to fully function in city driving. They need to be taken onto motorways so that the diesel particulate filter can get a chance to regenerate, however, as we all know this does not solve the problem because many of our customers are daily commuters on the motorway doing in excess of 100 miles. Although this article is primarily targeted to the DPF Removal of the Toyota T180 (2.0 & 2.2 D-4D Engine) vehicle, we are the specialists in DPF removals and have even been recommended to customers by main dealers as an alternative to having the DPF replaced. We work on all DPF vehicles including:

  • Alfa Romeo Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Audi – 1.4 TDI, 1.9 TDI, 2.0 TDI, 2.5 TDI, 2.7 TDI, 3.0 TDI, 4.2 TDI, 5.0 TDI etc. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • BMW & Mini Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Citroen Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Chevrolet Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Fiat Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Ford Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Honda Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Hyundai Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Jaguar Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Kia Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Lancia Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Mazda Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Mercedes Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Nissan Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Opel Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems

  • Volkswagen Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems
  • Volvo Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) problems

We’ve been successful in the removal of DPF filters for all other vehicles since 2007, however, with the Toyota T180 the problem was that there was no way of accessing the ECU (Engine Control Unit) data chip directly through the OBD port and not much luck chip-tuning via a BDM tool on a bench either which is the exact same problem with the Mazda group DPF cars.

In fact, there is no other specialist company in the whole of Europe who can successfully offer a complete DPF removal service on either the Mazda group cars or the Toyota T180.

Due to popular demand, our engineers & highly qualified electro-technicians have been working day & night on a fix for this problem for the last 2 years and finally, we’ve come up with a solution for the Toyota T180.

We can now, confidently offer a complete Toyota T180 DPF Removal service whereby we turn off the DPF settings from the ECU and successfully remove the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) from the exhaust system with zero errors – That’s right, your vehicle will NOT fall in to LIMP HOME MODE and you will NOT suffer any error messages or regeneration processes ever again!

We launched the release of this service in December and since then, we have already successfully removed the DPF’s  on more than 25 Toyota T180’s and that is in just one month with no problems at all.

Removing the DPF will not bring up any error messages and the car will not go into LIMP mode. Also, you will never experience any Regeneration messages where the ECU normally attempts to clean the DPF – this is because the DPF is no longer existing.

Finally, you will experience an overall increase in performance, smoothing out any flat spots and safeguard the life of both your engine & turbocharger.

Will DPF Removal Cause Me To Fail An MOT?
From February 2014, the law is changing to include the visual inspection of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) during your MOT inspection. Although our DPF Removals are very discreet and our smoke-correction ensures the vehicle won’t smoke come MOT time, we are offering our DPF Removal sessions as an “Off-Road Use Only” service.

A new DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) will range from £1500.00 – £2500.00 (+Labour & +VAT). We can remove the entire DPF for a fraction of this cost and you’ll never have to worry about it ever again.
