They’re pretty cool, look great in the dash but at £2000+ they don’t come cheap!
A very common problem that most people are experiencing is complete screen failure which is common across the entire BMW iDrive MFD Multi Function Display Satellite Navigation System range. When they fail, BMW render the entire unit useless and advise that it must be replaced – if it’s replaced under warranty then you’re very lucky but otherwise it seems like a very costly replacement which is where we come in.

Our iDrive Remanufacturing Procedure
All units are first tested on our purpose built testing station which allows us to power the unit up and simulate it as if it was still connected to the vehicle. We can then assess the problem and confirm all underlying faults. We then proceed to carrying out the repairs, replacing any necessary major components including the liquid crystal display (LCD). After repairs the unit is re-assembled and tested again to confirm full functionality before returning the unit to you.

Hello, i’ve got a BMW X5 with a 8.8inch widescreen Idrive unit.
The screens backlight Appears to have gone thus only able to see the screen with a torch light glaring against it.
As everything with the idrive is working other than the screeen, are you able to simply replave the screen?
If yes, can you please Let me know:
1) do you have any screens in stock?
2) when could you install it?
3) do you do installs over weekends?
4) finally, how much Will itvall cost?

It’s a common issue and we have been able to repair this fault before. We stock most of the common screens for a speedy repair but currently do not offer weekend services, although it’s something we are aiming to bring out in the future. Hi, I have a 2005 645 with CD, DVD Idrive. Upon starting the car it keeps rebooting from BMW screen to black. After a while it switches on and works perfectly. Most of the day it’s fine, but every morning it’s in reboot mode. Can this be repaired and can you give me an idea of the price.

My 2006 e90 pro sat nav does not Work. It trys and sometimes i get the bmw logo but not bery often. DVD drive works as i can hear it spinning. Can you repair it?

I have an e90 3 series bluetooth stopped working about a year ago but now idrive radio sat nav etc not working screen flashes occasionaly but thats it
