Ford Bosch 8.0 ABS / ESP Pump Module Problems
Only a handful of Ford cars are fitted with the Bosch 8.0 ABS / ESP pump module – the latest addition tot he Bosch pump technology. This unit is a common failing part and is found in a wide variety of models including: Nissan, Fiat, Volkswagen and Peugeot.

When the Bosch 8.0 ABS pump fails most workshops advise on getting a new replacement unit that holds an expensive price tag and can only be purchased from a main dealer. A new replacement unit will also require coding at an additional cost. Whilst it may seem tempting to opt for a cheaper second-hand used replacement unit we wouldn’t recommend this. Generally, a second-hand used Bosch 8.0 ABS / ESP pump comes with a limited 30-90 day warranty, has a lower life expectancy than a new replacement unit, and still requires programming at an additional cost.
