Audi Q2 DSG Mechatronic Repair
A Q2 that will not engage drive, or seems stuck in one gear, can have a fault in the DSG’s mechatronic unit. That unit is the transmission control unit inside the gearbox housing; it decides when to change and engages the clutches to do it. Your garage removes the unit and posts it to us, the gearbox stays where it is, and we repair the Q2’s own unit and send it back ready to refit. A car stuck in one gear should only be driven to get home, and looked at promptly.

Is It the Unit or Something Else?
Low system voltage from a tired battery can upset the gearbox, and gearbox oil that is low or old, a wiring or connector fault and a worn clutch can all mimic a mechatronic failure.
