A very common problem that most people are experiencing is complete screen failure which is common across the entire BMW iDrive MFD Multi Function Display Satellite Navigation System range. When they fail, BMW render the entire unit useless and advise that it must be replaced – if it’s replaced under warranty then you’re very lucky but otherwise it seems like a very costly replacement which is where we come in.

Our iDrive Remanufacturing Procedure
All units are first tested on our purpose built testing station which allows us to power the unit up and simulate it as if it was still connected to the vehicle. We can then assess the problem and confirm all underlying faults. We then proceed to carrying out the repairs, replacing any necessary major components including the liquid crystal display (LCD). After repairs the unit is re-assembled and tested again to confirm full functionality before returning the unit to you.

I have a 335D coupe 2006. The Idrive screen flickers for the first 45-60 mins of driving then later itll come on and will be workimg normally.
Been told it could be a bluetooth module,amplifier etc.

Hi, my iDrive radio and telephone work but on my e90 2010 satnav displays, ‘Navigation starting’, also the PDC enables during reverse. but Car image is missing.

Hi, have a BMW 330d msport idrive. Tried a normal dvd in it nothing, put sat nav disk back in now don’t work, keeps asking for San nav disk. Tried a 2018 disk nothing. Any ideas

Had diagnostic run by garage and was told my fault with I drive is lateral? Any idea as the symptoms are powers up to bmw Screen then cuts out and this process repeat for how ever long I drive can you give me a quote pls

I have a 64 plate BMW 114 sport. The I-drive switches itself on and off (staying on for about 2 minutes) before appearing to re-set itself. Naturally this renders the car phone etc useless. Will I need a new I drive or can it be fixed?
