A modern semi-automatic Peugeot / Citroen will come with SensoDrive technology. Sensodrive is basically an electronically controlled manual gearbox. It will come fitted with an electronic clutch actuator, gearbox actuator and a gearbox ECU.

New replacement parts from dealers will come with a 12-month warranty. Second hand used parts will be a lot cheaper but come with limited warranty (typically 30-90 days) and may require reprogramming.

Hi Jason,
My daughter just bought the Peugeot 1007 from a dealer and the very next day when she went to start the car firstly it wouldn’t start then did and it wouldn’t select any gear. She tried the disconnection of the battery etc as per instructions given on some of the forums about this problem but to no avail it didn’t help. Please advise what you think and any pricing for both clutch and gearbox actuator repairs please.

Hi, Peugeot 107 ,2007y, robot gearbox, problem appears when the engine is warm, when engine is cold i can drive few miles without problems, symptoms : gearbox doesnt switch gears. Clutch was replaced 2 months ago, and no problems accured till now. Computer shows?

Hi I have a 2004 c2 vtr with senso drive the problem I have is setting off from junctions I get a shudder like the clutch is not engaging as quick as it should also if I stick my foot down sometimes the revs get high but it pauses before changing gear but works better if I use the paddles.

This is a very common fault which can be caused by both the clutch actuator and the gear actuator so we always recommend sending both in to be tested at the same time.
