Repairing the MiTo’s Blue&Me Unit
Waking up to a MiTo that will not start after a night on the drive, with the mileage blinking on the dash once it does, is the pairing of faults owners most often trace to Blue&Me. Sold here under its other name, the comfort / convenience control module, it is Fiat’s hands-free phone and media unit rather than the engine ECU, and a failing one can keep drawing current after the car is locked. Hands-free calls, USB music and voice commands may also stop working. Your garage, or you, removes Blue&Me (also written Blue and Me) and posts it to us, and we repair the MiTo’s own module and return it for refitting.

Is the Drain Really Blue&Me?
Not always. An ageing battery, a charging fault or another unit that stays awake can all flatten a MiTo overnight, so have the parked current draw measured before the module is removed.
