Description
Audi A1 ABS Pump Repair
A new wheel-speed sensor fitted, and the ESC/ABS message still on the A1’s display — when that happens, the ABS unit or its connection is the next suspect. Some A1 owners also describe ABS cutting in at low speed, or with the car almost stopped, accompanied by brake judder and no warning light at all. The A1’s ABS pump and module reads each wheel and controls brake pressure; a fault normally disables ABS and ESC while the ordinary brakes remain, and any unexpected ABS activity should be checked promptly. An ABS warning is an MOT fail. We repair your own A1 unit and send it back for refitting.

Sensor Already Changed?
Then check the connections and wiring before looking at the unit — a poor connection can keep the message on. If the warning or the low-speed judder persists, describe it on the repair form, or contact us, and we will say whether the unit is the likely cause.
