Losing all power to the dash while the radio keeps resetting, or finding the cluster no longer talking to the rest of the car, are faults reported by Volkswagen Up owners. The Up’s compact cluster, shared in design with the SEAT Mii and Skoda Citigo, shows road speed, fuel level and trip data and carries the warning lamps and tones. Supply Fault or Cluster Fault?

If the dash and the radio drop out together, a supply or earth problem is at least as likely as the cluster, and a speed-sensor fault can stop the speedometer on its own. Have those checked; if the cluster is still logging faults or going dark, tell us through the repair form.
