A modern semi-automatic Peugeot / Citroen will come with SensoDrive technology. Sensodrive is basically an electronically controlled manual gearbox. It will come fitted with an electronic clutch actuator, gearbox actuator and a gearbox ECU.
The Peugeot / Citroen range vehicles with SensoDrive technology often suffer transmission faults and most commonly the problems are within the electronic clutch actuator and / or gearbox actuator. Below we’ve listed some of the common failing symptoms we’ve seen these units suffer with.

A new clutch actuator alone will cost you £480 +Labour and may require coding / calibration. A new gearbox actuator alone will cost you £780 +Labour and may require coding / calibration. New replacement parts from dealers will come with a 12-month warranty. Second hand used parts will be a lot cheaper but come with limited warranty (typically 30-90 days) and may require reprogramming.

Hi,
I have a 2010 citroen c4 hdi. I am getting the fault code p1394 (Cruise control/Speed Limiter off request from gearbox). The service light shows and no gear selection.
It happened after I kicked down the accelerator and pushed an emergency brake soon after it.
What can be the problem and how much does it cost to repair it?

I have a 2008 peugeot 107 semi auto.
Intermittently ( more so when the car is started after being turned off for a short time) the car starts then it beeps and i cannot get drive. If you turn the engine off and try to restart it wont. Sometimes the battery is disconnected and when reconnected it starts

Hi, my citreon C3 pluriel automatic Is jerking in gears on acceleration and it bangs and jolts forward and hi revs and then changes gear and then flashes auto and shows like a snow flake

Hello, I have Citroen 1.4 HDI Gearbox, my problem is that 5th gear no revs, is at idle, i have down to 4th gear. Also makes noise when entering the marches from 1st to 2nd gear. Please I need information and prices.

Hi I have a Peugeot 107 with Tiptronic gearbox i have been told that my gearbox Actuator sensors has gone ,the menchanic has told me that they may not be able to fix my old 1, could u tell me what u would recommend i could do how much do u think a Refurbished would cost with fitting,

Hi . I have a 2007 c4 grand picasso 2.0hdi semi auto . It judders/kangaroos pulling away from a stop , doesnt creep . It’s either Go or Stop . Once moving its fine through the gears, no slipping . We have seen this type of fault with the clutch & gear actuators before but we’ve seen similar faults from changing the automatic clutch and not re-adapting the clutch touch-point settings via the OBDII port. I have a 2011 Citreon Nemo HDI Automatic It was jumping out of gear. Took it to a Citreon dealer and was told it required new gear shaft cost £3000. Purchased a second hand gearbox and changed it but now cznnot get reverse. Could it be the gear actuator?

It could be the actuator at fault, we do see a few of them come in faulty but before removing them for testing, I would suggest checking over the fitment to ensure there were no errors in fitting it all back and also resetting the learned values for the clutch touch-point settings and gear actuator learned valued.
If the problem persists, we’ll be happy to test the actuators for you and if faulty, we can remanufacture the units and return them to you with a Lifetime warranty for complete peace of mind.
