  • Backlight Illumination Failure

If you have found that your Volkswagen Beetle cluster has any of the problems above, you will be advised to have the part replaced. The 2 main options that you will be provided with is to either buy a complete replacement part, which will generally come with 12 months warranty, but this could work out to be extremely expensive as it would require coding / programming to your vehicle. The other option would be to purchase a second-hand used part which will probably come with a limited warranty, typically 30-90 days, and will again, require coding / programming to your vehicle. As the used instrument may also need to calibrated to read the correct mileage, this will come as an additional cost.

  • My speedometer begin to act a little crazy the 2 first miles (8 month ago on cold day in florida). Few weeks ago it begin again when the weather change. And 2 weeks ago from now the cluster show only “gas cap light” and “spoiler light” (I don’t have a spoiler) and in this case the car don’t start. Now it only show this 2 lights so the car don t start And now the LCD odometer don t work
