Volkswagen Beetle Instrument Cluster Problems
Have you have been experiencing issues with your Volkswagen Beetle instrument cluster? Do the symptoms listed below sound familiar? If so we may be able to help.
Most common Instrument Cluster / Dashboard Problems
Some of the most common issues found associated with the Volkswagen Beetle Instrument Cluster are listed below:
- Backlight Illumination Failure
- Complete Power Failure
- LCD Pixelated or Faded
- Backlight Illumination Failure
- Backlight Flickers
- No Sound
- Gauges Flicker & Reset to 0
- Indicators & High Beam Warning LED’s Not Working
- Speed Stays at 0mph.
- Only One Side of the LCD Works
If you have found that your Volkswagen Beetle cluster has any of the problems above, you will be advised to have the part replaced. The 2 main options that you will be provided with is to either buy a complete replacement part, which will generally come with 12 months warranty, but this could work out to be extremely expensive as it would require coding / programming to your vehicle. The other option would be to purchase a second-hand used part which will probably come with a limited warranty, typically 30-90 days, and will again, require coding / programming to your vehicle. As the used instrument may also need to calibrated to read the correct mileage, this will come as an additional cost.
