A modern semi-automatic Peugeot / Citroen will come with SensoDrive technology. Sensodrive is basically an electronically controlled manual gearbox. It will come fitted with an electronic clutch actuator, gearbox actuator and a gearbox ECU.
The Peugeot / Citroen range vehicles with SensoDrive technology often suffer transmission faults and most commonly the problems are within the electronic clutch actuator and / or gearbox actuator. Below we’ve listed some of the common failing symptoms we’ve seen these units suffer with.

A new clutch actuator alone will cost you £480 +Labour and may require coding / calibration. A new gearbox actuator alone will cost you £780 +Labour and may require coding / calibration. New replacement parts from dealers will come with a 12-month warranty. Second hand used parts will be a lot cheaper but come with limited warranty (typically 30-90 days) and may require reprogramming.

Almost most of the Time is Hesitating and juddering when going up the hill
And in wrong Gears when slowing down

Hi I have a Peugeot 1007, and when pulling off in first gear it goes into 2nd gear but there is no traction and the car comes to a stop and goes back into first gear at which time i can pull of again only for the car to loose traction when the gearbox shifts into second gear. Please advise for any assistance you may provide. I am an able mechanic and could removethe actuator from the car with ease. The clutch actuator makes a creaking sound when operating but seems to functioning over the full stroke

i have a 09 citroen 4grande runs perfectly for aroundv 30 miles then after braking will not pull away without engine making a noise after stopping for 2 mins starts goes maybe another 40 miles then after braking same thing happens all the time i am travelling gearbox working ok , only happens after braking any advice or help apreciated
