The Nissan Pixo is fitted with the Teves MK70 (ATE) ABS unit, and has been known to have similar design flaws as the earlier Teves MK60 ATE ABS pump which as many car owners are aware of, turned out to be a complete disaster! Both units have internally built pressure sensors with a low maximum pressure rating and have identical common failures as you can see below:
Common Nissan Pixo Teves MK70 ATE ABS Pump Problems:
- No Communication Fault
- Brake Pressure Sensor (G201)
- ESP / ASR / TCS / DCS (Traction) Light On
- ABS Light On
- Wheel Speed Sensor Faults
Note: Only the most common faults we have found with these units have been listed above, but is not a complete list of possible faults.
Our ABS Repair Service
When carrying out any ABS repairs, we always identify any faults with the original design like the common failing internal G201 Brake Pressure Sensor Fault for example, and then not only do we repair the fault, but we also modify the unit so that the design fault is permanently rectified. This ensures complete peace of mind that the unit will not fail again in the future, and for that extra customer satisfaction, we also give all our customers Lifetime Warranty!
We have rebuilt so many of these units over the years and now carry exchange units on the shelf for faster turnaround time. Our exchange units are self-calibrating and will not require any programming. We also offer fitting services at very competitive rates.
