The EGR valve fitted to most modern Audi’s is known to have many issues. The EGR valve created to allow exhaust gasses to recirculate in the engine. So that they can be re-burnt before being released into the atmosphere, which helps with reducing vehicle emissions. However, eventually, this can lead to carbon build-up in the inlet manifold and engine. As well as the engine valves which can go on to cause many problems. Another option would involve just deleting the EGR Valve from the ECU so it is programmed to stay shut at all times. This will ensure that no fault codes or warning lights appear at all, and will stop the vehicle from going into limp mode.
