BMW M5 2005 Reduced Power Problems – BMW Throttle Body Repairs
The BMW M5 2005- comes manufactured with two throttle body actuators. Each throttle body actuator controls 5 throttle bodies. The problem is the actual throttle body actuators on these BMW M5’s, they are a common failing part and can cause Loss of Power and in some cases the Engine ECU may log a fault code and illuminate the Engine Mangement Light (EML).

Noteworthy to mention, if the faulty actuators were overlooked for a long time then the exhaust ionic sensors would probably need to be replaced as well.
I have the same problem, but how do you know whick one of the throttles is the bad one? how can I test it? please let me know
thanks
Hi Mustafa
Thanks for the enquiry,
You can scope each throttle body, a competent technician can isolate each throttle body to confirm which is faulty. Alternatively, you can send both throttle bodies to us and we’ll test both of them for you to confirm which is faulty and offer our services to remanufacture it. I’ve sent you an email with full information and pricing.
Kind Regards
Jason
