My 2001 CL500 has a non working drivers side headlamp (low beam) lamp is good as it works in passenger side.

when the bonnet is closed the headlight goes out soon as you open the bonnet it comes back on its something to do with the bonnet switch have you come across this. the car is a 2001 w220 mercedes s500
